School AI
School AI is a generative AI system specifically designed for education. It has endless functions, from essay grading and test making to student tutoring and lesson planning. Its most unique feature is its interactive "spaces".
Spaces are AI-powered conversations between students and School AI. These spaces are completely customizable for teachers. Teachers can browse from hundreds of pre-made spaces and modify them, or start from scratch and make their own. Spaces are a dynamic way for students to engage in their course content conversationally.
Teachers can choose exactly how much help School AI will give to their students. School AI will then summarize how each student is understanding the material and will allow teachers to see the conversations their students are having.
Making a Space
Though there are thousands of spaces to browse from, if you can't find one to fit your lesson, make one! Dot, your School AI assistant, will ask you what kind of space you are looking to create. Dot will ask what kinds of activities, questions, and feedback you want your students to have. You can upload any documents you want referenced. This could be a study guide, website link, or a page/pages of a textbook. Here is a short video of an educator making a space with a piece of reference material.
Spaces are Just the Beginning
Though spaces are the most unique feature, School AI can do so much more for you. It can make sub plans, rubrics, worksheets, and more. School AI's site has information on many of its tools, and this article highlights the different features as well. Want to know what other educators think?
